My Background
Dr Ranjan Bhattacharyya is a versatile & erudite scholar with several hats on his head. An illustrious career spanning over 3 decades, first as an enthusiastic medical student, then as a diligent clinician, dedicated community health worker, sincere teacher, avid academic & a passionate family man, Dr Ranjan in 2022 is at his middle aged best, striding tall over both Kolkata, Murshidabad & neighbouring districts Psychiatry circles with equal elan.
His hobbies include reading, writing & traveling by road to newer district towns. He is married to Sumita, who is a dermatopathologist & they are blessed with two beautiful daughters Rishita and Joyeeta.
Elder daughter, Rishita in VII th standard and younger daughter Joyeeta is reading in class II.
His spouse Dr Sumita Bhattacharyya, MBBS, DDVL, MD (Pathology) is a consultant Dermatologist, Venereologist & Leprologist as well as Pathologist in West Bengal Health Services.
